  6. Hi Adrienne,

I am the mother of two girls, one is 15 and one is 13. The 15 year old loves to read but unfortunately, spends way too much time on facebook. She reads dark dramas by chuck palachick (sp?) who wrote the Fight Club. When she was younger, she read Gossip Girls and Twilight but now she just reads Chuck….

Anyway, the reason I am writing is my 13 year old. She doesn’t like to read at all and I have struggled with her since day one trying to find something that she likes. I found your blog from another blog I was reading and it sounded intriguing by the title. I have taken out some books from the library based on your blog for her. I like your reviews and your take on the books. She has liked a few of the books too.

So, Adrienne, not only are you helping people that like to read, you are also inspiring girls that do not like to read. Thanks so much for putting so much time and effort into your blog.

Are you going to college to be a librarian? You would sure make a good one, either that or an English teacher, you have the passion about reading to be successful in both of those careers.

Do you have a section of holiday books you like to read? Does your mom like to read to? I read every night with my daughter, I too, have a TBR pile that I always pick from before I go on vacation.

P.S. It is snowing like the dicken’s here today.

  7. Wow, thanks so much cpa momma! I'm glad you like my blog, and I'm happy your daughter has started to like reading!

I have though of becoming a librarian because I truly do love to read, but right now I'm thinking about something in business or advertising.

I don't really have holiday books I read, but they are fun. My mom doesn't read much, but she does enjoy it also. My sister who is in college loves to read too. She's the one who got me into reading as a child. I started loving to read after reading the first couple books in the Harry Potter series!
